Why do you use soy wax?

Soy wax is a renewable material and is made from soybeans, unlike paraffin wax which is a biproduct from petroleum refining.  Soy wax burns clean, burns for a long period of time, and holds the scent well.  Compared to paraffin wax, soy wax creates much less soot while burning.

What is the best way to burn your candle?

The wick should be always be trimmed to 1/4" every time before burning the candles.  The candle should be placed on a firm level surface, away from flammable materials, and away from drafts.  Pets and children should not be allowed near the candle.  Our candles burn best when they are burned long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the container, which is usually 2-4 hours.  Candles that are burned for shorter periods of time can be susceptible to "tunneling", which will leave unmelted wax on the side of the candle.  Do not burn when the remaining wax in the bottom of the candle is less than 1/4" thick.  Do not leave burning candles unattended.

Why is the top of my candle bumpy after burning it?

A bumpy candle surface after burning is caused by uneven cooling of the wax.  This is somewhat common with soy wax candles, and can be an indicator that soy wax is used!  Due to variation in environments and the wax, this does not happen every time the candle is burned.  This texture is purely a cosmetic issue, and will not affect the performance of the candle.

Orders usually ship within 2-5 days from when the order is placed.

What is your return policy?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your candle(s) to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it - unburned - and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and IssuesPlease inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale/clearance items or gift cards.

ExchangesThe fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

RefundsWe will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us using the "Contact" link listed above on the navigation bar.
